WHO MAY ENTER
The Contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers, age 18 and older, and to amateur photographers under the age of 18 with parents’ permission. 

HOW TO ENTER
Each entry must be submitted via email with the required information and format as outlined on the Submit-A-Photo page.  One image per email.  Any required releases must accompany the photo as an attachement in the email.  Photo and release (if required) must be emailed as an attachment and not an embedded image.  Refer to release information further belowwith a link to the release form.

   1) Photographs must be in digital format. Only emailed entries will be eligible. No print or film
       submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest. 
   2) The photograph need not be taken with a digital camera; scans of negatives, transparencies, or
       photographic prints are acceptable.  If using a camera, any type of camera is allowable including
       photos from a cell phone.
   3) All digital files entered should not exceed 5 megabytes, must be in JPEG or JPG format, at least
       300 dpi, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a 
       vertical image).
   4) Photographs must have been taken within the Town or Coatesville Indiana or surrounding area.
   5) If you are doing an aerial image using a drone, you are required to adhere to all FAA regulations
       concerning the use of any Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) as required by law including any
       licensing to operate such a craft if required.
   6) Submitted photograph’s must be new or have been taken within the last 14 months, but not prior
       to January 1st, 2019 for categories 1-7.
   7) Minor burning, dodging and/or color correction is acceptable, as are noise reduction and sensor 
       spot removal. Hand tinting is acceptable, as is cropping. Fish-eye lenses are acceptable. High 
       dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are acceptable only if the combined parts
       are all made around the same time. Any changes to the original Photograph not itemized here 
       are unacceptable and will render the Photograph ineligible for the contest.
   8) The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest
       entrant for the first seven categories or be the rightful owner if submitting a historical photo. By
       entering The Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted 
       photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant or that they are the rightful owner of
       the photograph, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights,
       rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other
       party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
   9) The photograph must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Sponsor, contain obscene,
       provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
 10) The entries in each Category will be judged separately. All entries must be submitted and received 
       by May 12th, 2021, by no later than 11:59 p.m. Submissions received and timestamped after
       this date and time will not be eligible for The Contest.

RELEASES
If the photograph contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, and/or if any persons appear in the photograph, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photograph, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph in the manner set forth in these Official Rules without additional compensation. If any person appearing in any photograph is under the age of majority in their state/province/territory of residence the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on each release.  Click here to access the release.
